Through The Loupe

The world may seem like a BIG place for us humans, but in the bigger reality of things, we’re so very small. There is an even bigger world out there, and beyond an even bigger more expanse place for only our imagination can take us. There is a place however, that we can observe – BIG for earth’s lilliputian inhabitants, Ants (to be specific). Their World & Life must be somewhat comparable to something out of ‘The Maze Runner‘ story, although in contrast to a much grander scale.

In this posting I would like to look closer – explore the bugs life and their cosm.

Back in 2K12, I published a select few of these photographs on my former blog (Pre-[HUB]). A member from an optics company specializing in jewelers loupe’s shared my short ‘In The Loupe‘ series within their online location to show an example of my individual approach to the use of my Dad’s jewelers loupe (an impromptu experiment). It was a pretty simple setup – assembled together, my 2006/09 Optio S7 paired with 10x loupe in front of the main glass element, set to macro. Plus a lot of patience – something of which we need to understand in life.

These intelligent little beings to follow, are quite marvelous – and i’m afraid to say that I have squashed many. They harness such an awareness and alertness that they can sense the coming rain, and coordinate themselves to get to higher-ground. I sometimes see them crawling up the edges of the labyrinth I call my home. What a wonderful world these ants & plants possess.
